Big News, Heycuz Family — My First Book Is Out!

If you’ve been on Heycuz for more than five minutes, you already know how this usually goes:

Someone announces a “family project,” and suddenly everyone’s holding their breath like
“Is she about to drop a surprise great‑grandparent? A mystery cousin? A scandal from 1894?”

Let me go ahead and lovingly disappoint you.

This book is NOT a family history.
There are zero new branches, zero surprise cousins, and zero Smithsonian‑worthy revelations.
(Although if you do have a Smithsonian‑level family tree, please continue to brag. We support that here.)

What is this book?

It’s a guide for the part of family history we don’t usually talk about —
the emotional inheritance, the invisible patterns, the stories we carry even when the documents are missing or the ancestors were tight‑lipped.

Think of it as the book you read before you go digging through archives, so you understand the deeper story you’re actually looking for.

It’s about:

  • The myths we inherit
  • The patterns we repeat
  • The stories we avoid
  • The truths we feel but can’t always prove
  • And how to work with all of that in a grounded, empowering way

So no, you won’t find your missing 3rd‑great‑grandfather in here.
But you might find yourself.

Thank you to everyone on Heycuz who has been part of this journey — the researchers, the storytellers, the secret‑keepers, the myth‑busters, and the cousins who always show up with a census record at 2 AM.

I’ll share updates soon about availability, events, and how this book connects to the work we’ve all been doing here for years.

For now, just know this:

The Ancestral Mirror is officially out in the world — and it’s for every one of us who has ever asked, “How do you relate?”

You can purchase the book, I hope you do on Amazon at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GWFS7STF or you can learn more and download free worksheets at ancestralmirror.com.
